Every year, during the Christmas holidays, Stone Mountain provides the ultimate family holiday escape for children and adults. Not only do they make it snow at the mountain, they also provide various shows to watch as you enjoy the Christmas lights. One of those heart throbbing shows is Christmas in the City. Christmas In the City is a 30 minutes performance that follows the Stone Mountain Christmas cast as they travel from NYC to LA singing and dancing to some of the most iconic Christmas songs originating from each city.
Aida
Summer 2018, Kendra performed along side some of Atlanta’s most talented artists in The Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s production of Aida. The Lyric Theatre captured the hearts of many by adding Aida to their 2018 season. The heart breaking love tragedy touched not only class, but racial divide.
2017-2018 Serenbe PLAYHOUSE Apprentice
Kendra along with seven other recent college graduates spent a year working at Serenbe’s outdoor, site-specific, Regional Theatre. Responsibilities include participating in set building work calls, attending rehearsals for all Serenbe productions, understudying roles, attending workshops and classes, and carrying out front of house/box office duties. The apprenticeship also provided opportunities for assistant directing, stage management, hands on technical experience, and performing as leading, supporting and ensemble roles in Robin Hood, Macbeth, Cabaret, Sleepy Hollow, Snow Queen and The Little Mermaid. Not only did we learn more about our chosen theatre paths we also learned the inner workings of how to operate a non-profit theatre company.
